I want to start getting people together who are serious about pvp. I'm pretty familiar with the mechanics in both modes legends, and regular. I'm full iconic PVP gear, and I can switch between controller, and DPS mode, but I prefer to dps.
I'm talking about pvp specs, and only running in a balanced group. I would like to make Nomads known not only as a PvE league, but also as a PvP one, because really anyone with a brain can beat a computer that does the same thing over and over, but putting your skills against another players is the true challenge for me. |

One thing I've started to learn about PvP is that there is no such thing as a pure DPS. Epee was a pure DPS in arena's, but as I've learned more I find that if I'm going up against a group with a healer, and a controller even if I'm the highest DPS on the entire chart it doesn't mean shit if that healer is healing through it all.
So now when ever I'm running against decent people with a good healer I'm in controller mode, still wear a full DPS set since controller stats are kind of eh.
So while you might love DPS'ing, make sure you definetely have a loadout available that will allow you to heal because sometimes 2 healers are necessary in arenas. Even when you have 1 healer in DPS mode he may need to be throwing up a lot of heals. |

yup I want to start PVPing with my alt Erebus. I dont mind doing it with odium but i will not even que up for a PVP match anymore unless we have a full group and everyone playing their class, going up against premade squads with everyone playing their role is tough and im tired of running with 3 dps it does not work unless u are playing against pugs. people say who cares you still get points but i do care about losing everytime a nomad gets beat in an arena it makes us all look bad so i would suggest only quing up with a pre made group with everyone playing their part. |

I have little experience with PVP and like 2 pieces of crap PVP gear I bought from cyborg at the JLA reactor. But I know the strategy involved and like to play my class the why I'm supposed to. I know hard stuns are super important to PVP because u can't use breakout to get free.
It's kinda like rock, paper, scissors
interrupts attacks beat Charge up attacks(some block breakers)(usually strong attacks with cast time)& rolling
Charge spells and block breakers beat block
Blocking beats interupts causing opponents to fall
Rolling dodges charge spells and thrown objects
It's just a matter of knowing what to When you see it.
And knowing who to attack and who not to.
Controllers +healer-tank
Healer + tank - control
Tanks +controller -healer
So I want to do some PVP but only with premade nomad groups |

I was PVP'ing with some friends, a couple of the leaders from meta justice the other night and what I've realized about PvP is that everything revolves around the healer being debuffed.
Let me explain what I mean by that, a good controller is going to debuff that healer and stick on them like glue. However what a lot of people dont' know is what a good tank needs to do. Basically as a tank your job revolves around listening to the healer and whenever he calls out that he is debuffed you must remove that debuff.
Both tank classes have 2 different skills to remove debuffs from the healer, and one to extend the time they are immune to that debuff. It's amazing what a good tank does in a group, and the guy I was playing with Superpatriot is probably one of the best tanks on this server. The entire length of the matches, controller debuffing the healer or not, he was NEVER debuffed.
He COMPLETELY NEGATED the other teams controller it was so awesome. If we could get some tanks in PvP who understood this premise, and some good communication between the tanks and healers we'd have an amazing PvP team. Then the only other thing that has to be done is the controller debuffing the healer.
But really with 2 good teams it all revolves around whether or not that debuff is on the healer or not. |

So a prudent strategy would be to have a nature DPS stay with the controller in order to knock out the oppents tank to keep debuffs up. I know there is a healer debuff in the illusion power tree it's called "horrific visage" but I also think that pyrokinesis might debuff healing or overall health but as of the last time I looked it wasn't in the description. I know when I use pyro a heart icon debuff is applied just not sure which one it is, the overall health or the healing debuff |

ALL controller powers debuff healer, you just stick on them and keep casting. They have a little heart icon in healer mode which I believe is there healing buff, you just keep casting powers at them until it goes away. The red debuff is a health debuff I believe the same as you use on bosses etc. I generally spam telekinesis on them, because not only will it debuff their healing, but it also debuffs their defense at the same time.
The problem with healer debuffs is they really don't work too well right now and appear to be broken from what I've been hearing. The tank also isn't a real viable target because well...they're a tank I've went entire matches with the enemy tank just sitting in the middle of us fighting just waiting for the other members of his team to come back. |

So your saying sorcery and nature in both healer or DPS modes, that there innate attack debuffs against Ice and fire are nerfed right now from what you have seen? If so that's a BIG thing they need to fix, otherwise tanks could hold fire from multiple characters negating all debuffs. |

I remember saying like a month ago that we should start roling with a tank troller and healer, but everyone was telling me there was no point to being in tank form, but i knew it would negat debuffs and be a good node contesting class.. anyways im down to pvp but tuesdays and thursdays are no good for me till like 10pst pm. and fridays are my raiding day so i cant be on that day, i have a healer with tier1 pvp gear some raid gear, and a tank with 2 tier 2 pvp and full everyother gear. im down for both, want to get a good 3-4 hrs of pvp every night but i doubt that will happen. i also got a hd camcorder to start recording matches and will post them on the site or youtube if it is not too long of a process. |
